Welcome to the former capital city of Thailand and international metropolitan of Southeast Asia where the emergence of seamless integration of multiple ethnics becoming unique Thai art and culture had flourished for centuries. Now that the heart of the ancient city (so call the inner island) is registered as the world heritage, it attracts all people around the world to visit. Even if the outer is also a part of the world heritage, its reputation is considered much inferior because of lesser charisma. However, the Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Rajabhat University (ARU) seems to disagree and makes an effort to revive the fading bond between local communities and Tung Phukao Thong where the gigantic pagoda and the extraordinary ordination hall has been being restored and related information is gradually uncovered. ARU is principally using participatory process to collect, analyze and verify relevant cultural data with local people in order to obtain the consensus for organizing a festival. Creating co-ownership of the process and outputs, and building adaptive management capacity of local people is highly concerned. The fellowship of ARU is ready to apply diverse academic disciplines to synthesize the findings and to facilitate co-management for the cultural festival so that the charm of the outer will be more recognizable to all people.
